AUXILIARY POWER UNIT
In tanks and other armored cars one can build Auxiliary Power Unit, which enables supply with electric energy and optionally the drive of air-conditioner’s compressor irrespectively from work of the main engine. Application of such a system enables obtaining significant exploitation savings (the system engine consumes significantly less fuel, it is more silent and does not emit large amount of heat).
The board consists of electronic module with visualising elements (desktop) and the systems of switches. The electronic module is built on the basis of microprocessing system and serves processing input signals delivered by sensors placed in particular systems of a vehicle. Provision of information and signalling exceeding of allowed exploitation parameters are done by line light indicators - bargraphs.
In the tanks of T-72 family, as one of the first and few tanks in the world automatic loads were applied. In the automatic load designed at the verge of the 60’s and 70’s of the last century among others due to the lack of electronic solutions, drivers base on old electro technical solutions such as relays and systems containing transistors, diodes, capacitors and resistors.
